What’s up with me?

I’ve always loved to create whether it’s writing, painting, photography or an assortment of other basement projects I always seem to get myself involved in. Creativity is a human right, especially when you feel alienated from the trends that have guided our culture over the past three decades. I don’t really want 23 summer homes and hoarding makes me feel particularly uncomfortable when it comes to luxury items. In my effort to find fulfillment, I have worked as a farm hand, furniture salesman, landscaper, waiter, trench digger, educational researcher, teacher, grant writer, field archaeologist, office sponge, interviewer, museum director, PR guy, and general lunatic. None of these activities really promoted a feeling of fulfillment the way writing did for me. This blog gives me that cushion. A place to speak my mind and bail the rising water from a sinking boat while giving it all my interpretation. So much of life is perceptual and meaning can come from any quarter if we only pay attention to it.

Nicely done! I like it! I had a similar experience when I visited Reno many years ago.

Nice, you have a great way with the pen. It is a true gift that god has given to you.
Life has such great opportunity for anyone who is seeking enlightenment and wisdom. We just get so caught up in the day to day grind that we miss all the amazing things that surround us.
